2022 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Weekly virtual programming with Solace Sundays and Mind Your Business Mondays!
- January- Featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show as a Rad Human on an episode highlighting single parents. Began conducting virtual intake appointments for Single Moms.
- February- Community Distribution made possible by Walmart 360.
- March- Hosted the ESM, Inc. Housing Series to educate Single Moms on fair housing, home ownership and renter's rights. Partnered with Handoff, a job sharing employment agency that focuses on placement for Single Moms. Sponsored 20 women to attend the One Fierce Woman Conference.
- April- Continued the ESM, Inc. Housing Series to educate Single Moms on fair housing, home ownership and renter's rights.
- May- Closed on the ESM, Inc. Home in Wilmington, DE. Hosted two Community Distributions made possible by Walmart 360.
- June- Began renovations on the ESM, Inc. Home.
- July- Moved our backstock from the storage space and into the ESM, Inc. Home.
- August- Renovations continued on ESM, Inc. Home and purchased new appliances. Partnered with the School District of Philadelphia (Learning Network 11) and Walmart, to host a Community Distribution with a trailer-load of items at 15 schools to benefit Single Moms and their children; held at WD Kelly Elementary.
- September- Partnered with the School District of Philadelphia (Learning Network 11) and Walmart, to host a Community Distribution with a trailer-load of items at 15 schools to benefit Single Moms and their children; held at WD Kelly Elementary. Celebrated the third college graduate of Empowering Single Moms, Inc. alumnae.
- October- Partnered with the School District of Philadelphia (Learning Network 11) and Walmart, to host a Community Distribution with a trailer-load of items at 15 schools to benefit Single Moms and their children; held at WD Kelly Elementary. Solace Sunday featured a Single Mom author.
- November- Founder and President, Dr. Crystal Edwards is honored by AT&T and Rollout Mag as a Sister with Superpowers. Partnered with California Closets to finish the ESM, Inc. home office and storage center/laundry. Partnered with WD Kelly Elementary, Third Love and Good 360 to complete free bra-fittings for over 70 mothers. Awarded a scholarship to a young woman participating in the Jabberwock program of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. Sorority, Wilmington (DE) Alumnae Chapter.
- December- ESM, Inc. Home is complete! Served as Secret Santa to five ESM, Inc. households. Commissioned local artist, Wanda Campbell, to create a unique art piece for the ESM, Inc. Home.
